ADD Intercooler and Relo Kit Compared to Whipple Intercooler

I have and I loved the SVC bumpers I had on my gen1. I’d also like to keep a light bar there as well like my gen1 had w/ the SVC Baja bumper on the front. It looks like the only way to get that clean design w/ a light bar on a gen2 is to go ADD.

That was a good looking truck! They make the same style frame cut bumper to accommodate a light. Hit up Jeff and he'll send you some pics.

Back to the intercooler... is the whole unit sitting much higher than the very low location of the factory unit? I can’t tell from the pictures.

Great post! I have been wondering the same thing. I was under the impression ADD and full race were pretty much the same intercooler. Is this true. I have been seeing more and more intercoolers on the market.

I spoke to MPT and they had high regards for the Wagner intercooler but didn't say what the best intercooler was. There are too many variables. They sell several of the listed intercoolers and are probably hesitant to say.

I believe I saw a Mishimoto intercooler some where that looked similar to the whipple.
Hope to hear from some one that has actual experience with these.

So when I was getting my tune from 5star we also talked about intercooler. They at 5star said they got great results from the Wagner intercooler on the ecoboost. So should the Wagner be in the talk too?

No. Any intercooler upgrade is going to allow for more power. What sets intercoolers apart from each other is mounting location (technically how high the bottom of the cooler is), and an evacuation relief valve.

Yeah. The Rull Race unit sits right behind the FORD grill... the OEM location is right behind where the front license plate goes.
