looking to install the ADD/AFE intercooler to make room for winch/bumper. I found the pdf instructions and claims 2-3hr install but didn’t find any videos showing it. Just curious if anyone has done this at home and if it was as harder or easier than pplanned for.

Any help would be great, thanks guys!

I did it. Installed the Full Race V2 Intercooler.

Here is a link to the step-by-step instructions:

Full Race has exceptional customer service too. They gladly receive your call and take the time to answer questions with appreciation for your business.

Installation of the intercooler was part of the requirement needed to install the Rogue Enforcer Frame Horn Chop front bumper. I installed this bumper myself following the installation of the Intercooler.

It took a couple of hours to install the Intercooler. The most involved part of the intercooler install was removing the shutters from their frame located inside the front of grill. Once the shutters are removed you then remove the frame, that held the shutter flaps in place, and cut the vertical center beam off and trim the bottom of it to fit around the new intercooler. Then you reattach the frame back to the inside face of the grill and you are done.

To install the bumper I had to cut 10” off the front of each frame horn. As a result, I could not use the bottom support mount that comes with the Intercooler.

Instead, the Rogue Enforcer Frame Horn Chop front bumper comes with its own bottom support mount to secure the Intercooler in place.

This involved drilling mount holes and installing nutcerts to secure the bottom support mount for the intercooler to a metal beam that runs between each frame rail.

Installing the nutcerts was the second biggest time consuming effort in the installation process of the bumper. You do not need the expensive tool made to install the nutcerts. Frankly, there likely isn’t enough room to successfully use this tool.

Instead, I successfully followed this guys method:

How was the performance gain?

I didn’t purchase the intercooler for the purpose of performance gain. It was mandatory to install the bumper. However, it is a very noticeable difference in performance. Much better throttle response and increased acceleration speed.

I live in San Antonio, very hot climate year round. The benefit of the intercooler is that air temps drop versus increase when you are heavy on the throttle.
