I would look to see of there is any oil on the shock shaft. If your seals are blown it might show up there. Mine was so bad it could be compressed by hand and would not rebound at all.

Thanks. Does anyone know what else there is to look for?

Humvee, I'd suggest shooting a PM to the guys at RPG or even giving them a call. Corey is insanely knowledgeable about this stuff and he'd talk your ear off about it. He told me so much about how these shocks work it was almost hard to absorb it all.

I like how nobody told me I had two of the same pic in that last update I posted. Oh well, now the right pic is in there of me holding one of the bumps.

I didn't want to be the idiot that couldn't see your hand lol and a combination of being lazy.

Ok, update time. Nothing new added on, but some small reviews of things I already had on.

First up is my new RPG Stage 2 kit.

Finally got a chance to go out and put this thing through its paces today in the desert. I have to say I'm completely happy with how this kit works. Today I purposely went out and found some trails I had ran before that had G-outs that would make the truck donkey kick if taken at a good speed (~50mph). These are bumps that would most likely bottom the rear out hard and potentially tweak the frame.

So the plan was to go out and reset the O-rings on my bumps and hit these G-outs and see how things went. After scoping out where they were and how I wanted to hit them. I went ahead and went for it and first try out of the gate I got what I wanted. I hit hard enough that the back end kicked up in the air.

Now normally without a bump kit in the back there would be a really loud thud and a nice jolt followed by the back of the truck getting airborne. That simply didn't happen. The back end felt like it soaked the hit up very nicely and although it did go airborne a bit in the back, it was a very smooth and controlled feeling, completely unlike doing the same thing with the stock bumps. The RPG kit absorbed a TON of force and kept the truck much more in control.

Once I stopped to check the bumps to see how hard I had hit, I was pretty surprised to see that I had only used half the travel on both sides on that particular hit. Now that was impressive. Needless to say, I won't be slamming the truck like that every time out, but it has given me a lot of confidence in what the back end can now handle.

Bottom line: This kit is amazing, and it is highly worth the money for the peace of mind it provides, as well as the performance it gives you.

Ok on to the second part of the update. I decided since I was out doing some night running to put up a little comparison of stock high and low beams vs. the M&R 6" LEDs that I have on the Outlaw hood mounts on my truck. So here's a couple of quick videos for you guys to check out:

M&R LED Light comparison - YouTube

I really like it. I can't say if it's added power or not since it was on the truck when I bought it, but as far as quality and ease of maintenance it's been great. It also sounds pretty mean when you mash the gas.

Just read through your build thread Aaron. Very nice. Fine tuned to the functional aspect which is what I am doing as well. I'm still working on suspension, and now bumper and offroad lighting so I won't be smashing bumpers in the dark haha. Like what you've done so far.

Thanks! I'm still up in the air about my suspension. I'm happy with it for the most part right now, so I'll probably leave it alone for the time being.

Highly recommend the bumper though. It already saved my truck from damage on the run that myself and a couple of guys did last time I was home. Very glad I have it on there.

Aaron, how do you like the dead pedal kit?
Did it help on the run meet up you did?

Also, would like to know what CS thinks of it.
