Brains truck was found in Anaheim. It was in an accident, Front and rear bumpers ( RPG ) stolen, Race radio stolen, center console stolen. Details to follow. Thank you for all your concern.

unfortunately even vehicles with microchips in the keys can be stolen. but its usually not a common thief that can do it. usually its part of a ring that steals them and ships them overseas. im wondering if they abandoned the truck after the wreck and just took the parts they could sell.

brian, bring it up here when you have time and i will get you setup with additional security features and gps tracking.

Really curious how that works with the chipped keys... Any details you can share as to "how" it was stolen, or the circumstances? (Did they have a spare key somehow, etc)

it takes only a few minutes with a laptop and the right software. experienced vehicle thieves can cut a key in less than a minute too. pop open a door, sit inside, shut the door and do all the work in a dark vehicle. nobody would notice. also, the frequency of the transmitter can be copied. aftermarket alarms have rolling codes so it makes it harder to catch the transmit code.
