Ill be at nuke school in about 21 months. Gotta get my SWO pin then heading on down to get my nerd on. My buddy who is a sub guy (poor bastard, narrowly escaped that fate... damn grades almost did me in. Begged for nuke swo) just finished power school and is at SOBC right now since prototype is backed up like a mother.

No Shit on the Prototype School. Don't know what will happen after the end of June when he finishes. Right now he is #6 out of 42 or so I think. Will be on a Boomer at least that is what he will put down.

Before any of you think that my SIL is a Geek---be advised. All Dist football, track scholarship (partial) at Embry Riddle 3.92 etc. A real good guy loves to hunt and fish. He was in NUPOC so when he and my daughter started dating (known him his whole life but they only started dating midway through junior their year in college) this was a given. He has a contract for four years. The USN has spent a ton of money on him and I hope he does well already an aeronautical engineer but he wants a DOLPHIN!

Glad he went subs, kept me from having to go. Good thing about nuke swo is I do a tour on a ship before I go to nuke school so I have a break. Thank god I need a break. I would advise against a boomer, did my whole summer on one and they are extremely boring. Fast attacks are where the action is, or SSGN's if you can hop on one.

All nukes are geeks hoss. Some of us just hide it very well.

Yes Boomers are boring BUT they don't get extended like the FA's do in certian situations... He is married and wants to come home on a regular basis lol..... If it were me I would go FA and pick Pearl as my base!!!

They want to be in GA not WA -- warmer and closer to home..
