Airforce One runs on jet fuel, (basically kerosene). In fact, Every gubmint vehicle used to shlep around that dementia patient runs on petroleum based fuel. The White House (and every other gubmint building in DC) doesn't have solar panels, wind turbines or any other form of "renewable" energy. Meanwhile, FoMoCo loses around $50,000 on each EV they sell..... and the dealers can't move their new EV inventory as fast as ICE vehicles. Welcome to Bidens' America.

Either Ford corporate knows something they haven’t revealed yet, or they’re on the path to financial ruin and bankruptcy. Why do you thing Raptor & R are so expensive and took such huge price increases? Everything Ford sells is subsidizing their EV division and it’s not even going to turn a profit until something like 2028(? I don’t remember where I saw it). Can they stay in business that long on this model?

Now, maybe Ford has some inside dirt on the “next big thing” in batteries or power development and efficiency, but it sure looks like they’ve gone all in with a 2 of clubs and 8 of diamonds showing.

yeah, I mean, I’m over 300 days of sun per year in TX, make the same as I make anywhere else and the tax burden is relatively light, plus, fuel costs aren’t (as) stupid ( #FJB ).

I can’t imagine the level of kookiness y’all deal with day to day.

Between the high fuel costs, rampant homless over taking the state, drug epidemic seen on a daily basis on street corners, the state releasing violent felons for early parole or not even prosecuting crimes, massive gang violence, high taxes, tax dollars for sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants, california burning every summer due to mismanaged forest maintenance, law enforecment not allowed to do their job, California killing off it's own oil and gas ecomony, only to import massive amounts of foriegn oil, a poorly state ran power company, and other terrible democrat policies, California is wonderful.

I don't disagree with your sentiments at all, only thing I would like to add;

I think Ford saw the prices that the secondary market was commanding for Raptor's and Raptor R, and saw so much money left on the table that they are just going after it themselves instead of letting dealers take advantage. They know the Raptor R and Raptor have a finite life in their upcoming EV world, so make hay while the sun is shining in my uneducated opinion.

Unfortunately that doesn’t stop dealers from tacking on even more to try to make that money up for themselves.
