OR just buy the Putco bar for DOT/Highway use which is designed for flashing ambers/white lights lol :) But good info if you want to modify the regular blade bar :)

got a part number for that? how fast is the amber flash?

Not looking for use as turn signals. more dust & caution use cases.

Sorry without doing it again and taking and making instructions on the way this is the best i can do for now

This is whats inside the billet aluminium box. There are 12 total wires (6 pairs) positive and negative for the left and right sides for the red, yellow and white.

I just cut the wires and figured what was what after the fact by applying power to each pair and labeled them.

Rather than "tapping" into the factory wiring i got a curt t connecter and tapped into that

Reverse goes to center of the 7 pin, stop, left and right go to yellow and green wires. And the yellow i ran a wire up through my frame to keep it hidden and connected to my upfitter aux 2 under the hood.

There is no parking light (dimmer) with the direct wire...i can be done using and swapping some wires in the putco circuit...

Thanks! But what's a Curt T Connector? I Googled it and their website shows a bunch of products.

What is the "Red Blade" by Putco?

As I was looking for in the first post and then Putco confirmed they were working on one, it's an all red and white bar, no amber, and (I'm really hoping), sequential turn signals!

They confirmed in their YouTube teaser video of their light bar wall that one was coming soon called the Red Blade (see my comment on the video and their reply today)

You have LED taillights from Ford right?? That might be where your issue is. The truck is seeing too much power being pulled.. you should tap into your truck's trailer wiring harness, per the instructions.

This video claims tapping into the trailer wiring harness throws up alerts because the truck thinks a trailer is connected. They recommend connecting to the taillight wires to avoid this. Are you saying there are problems connecting to the taillight because of additional power draw?

If you plug the harness into the trailer connector, it'll think a trailer is connected. But if you TAP into the wires, that's different.

That's NOT what the CJ Pony Parts video says. Go to 9:54 of their video where the guy talks about issues wiring the bar into the trailer harness connector. The end of the video he shows you how they wired the light bar into the driver's side tail light - note that the light bar's passenger side wire has to be wired into the passenger side tail light.

Here's the video link:
