I have a Borla S type and I like it not love it I wish it was a little louder does anybody run this system with the resonator delete I don't want to void my warranty I figured if I do a resonator delete I can always put the resonator back on if something goes wrong or else I would do full headers and everything. and y dont they make an atak muffler for the 6.2

My waterproof iPhone case does the audio no justice....sounds absolutely ridiculous in person....idle isn't that bad at all but other than that it's just loud as hell.

New exhaust set up....Merry Christmas self lol

O yeah and my entire exhaust build cost around 1500 bucks...don't gotta spend an arm and a leg to have a good sounding exhaust.

Thank you sir! I honestly was hesitant about goin long tubes on the raptor cuz to be honest I didn't like the way it sounded in the videos. But all those trucks are running catted y pipes and what not. I chose the non catted off road version just to see how it would sound. Nothin but 6.2. Now. Sounds like a Frickin 03-04 terminator with straights....minus the raspy snap crackle pop when you let off. It's pretty loud driving around but to be honest the idle is a lot quieter than I thought it would be.

For anyone wanting a cheap awseome set up check this one out. One of the first things I did. Stock headers, I just cut the cats and resonator out, straight piped it, and swapped out the stock muffler for the Flowmaster 40.

Along with mikes tune an intake, I made 336whp and like 368ft lbs on the dyno if I remember correctly.
If your gonna run no cats make sure your tune has the rear 02s turned off.

Changing out Metal Mulisha muffler

Svtippy, how is the sound with the Borla S-type muffler. I just bolted up a Metal Mulisha Exhaust and don't really like it. It's too loud at low RPM has a lot of drone around 1500-2200 rpm and doesn't have a nice tuned noise to it, it's just loud. I was contemplating a new Borla cat back or the Banks Monster cat back but now I think I might try to save some money and get the exhaust I want. I'm thinking about ordering a Borla XR-1 muffler 4" in/out 23"x5.5"x8.5" body or the S-type muffler 3" in/out and 24" x 6.5" body. I was also looking at a Banks muffler's with body's as big as 8" and 16"-22" long. The Gibson muffler that comes with the kit is 4" in/out and 12" x 6" body. What are people's opinion on how I can get a better sounding exhaust with more of a tuned noise. Any other mufflers I should look at? I had a banks Monster exhaust on a Titan and loved the sound, I had a Corsa exhaust on a Tundra and didn't like it, there was no drone but was barely louder then stock.

Corsa or Borla will offer the best combination of a "tuned" exhaust tone with minimal drone. The Corsa Sport will not be quiet like you had on your Tundra, they offer various sound levels for different vehicles.

We've been in contact with Corsa and haven't learned of any definite release date of when we can get our hands on these kits. I hope you're right about the early 2014 release because that sounds NASTY! :rockit:

* My buddy just got a call yesterday to bring his truck back in to CORSA for final fitment of the xtreme system with an off tool sample. Sounds like the CORSA Xtreme with resonator delete will be available by mid February. Said something about the Raptor having a unique flange design that they needed to properly solve for.

That's funny, just got on here to ask if Corsa was going to come out with the extreme for the Raptor. On the video it sounds awesome. I can wait 6 weeks for that.
