Usually you have to be at 75% to total a vehicle but it depends on the state.

I would find out what your insurance company's policy is on which shop it goes to. If they have authorized service centers that they will back the work on, take it there. Otherwise, I would take it to livernois, even if they don't put an upgrade in. They have experience with these trucks and swapping engines. I wouldn't let a dealer touch that engine but I'm a little scarred.

Someone did post a link for a crate 6.2 for sale for $1k brand new. I'll see if I can find it.

If it were my truck, I'd have them send livernois the money they're willing to pay for a replacement and pay the difference for the upgrade.

Wow that's crazy cheap. Can you send me a pm with the info. I'll have to take a look and see what's up. I'm thinking Livernois right now but I'll have more information this week from the insurance company.

That is exactly what you want to do. @Livernois Motorsports is experienced with the 6.2 and has done some great builds. Call them Monday and see how they can help you.

Man looking at what they are capable of there this may get expensive. At least I'll have the insurance chipping in. I may be able to turn this cluster into an opportunity. Saw they have a veterans discount. Yup this may get ugly!

Thanks everyone for the fast replies and great referral. Pretty new to the raptor. Had it less than a year but this forum has been awesome.

replace

Well Livernois has declined the project. They only do performance and not repairs. :( Having a local shop do a long block swap. Too bad.
