a few guys have welded tabs on the roof for a light bar. i think @GBrown1867 has it

I haven't read this whole thread, just saw I was mentioned. Yes I have roof mount tabs. However, they are welded to my cage and come through the roof. If you try and weld to the roof it will end up tearing the sheet metal.

If you are looking for roof mounts, I highly recommend the ones that bolt to the drip rails on the each side of the roof right above your windshield. They are stable and can withstand a beating. They usually come with threadserts, but I usually drill all the way through and run bolt with backing nuts. Make sure you drop your side curtain airbags before drilling.
