5.4 dyno numbers? Stock or modded

Anyone have dyno numbers on stock or modified 5.4 raptors I have a 10 tuxedo black luxury package 42k miles. Hated the 5.4 stock. Now cai tune an longtube headers no cats. Now I love this engine I’d say 70hp gain over stock! 300-310 whp is my estimate wondering if anyone with the 5.4 an similar mods has dyno sheets thanks! I just want about 50 more or 100 more ho an I’ll be good

Not in a Raptor, but the 5.4 in a friends 2009 Lariat. It made around 220 rwhp / 250 trq from what I recall. It was stock as he wanted a baseline. He added a Procharger (P1SC). I believe the post-SC was 330rwhp/330trq.

Hate to burst your bubble but you have your numbers all wrong and where you're attaching them to.

The 5.4L only produces 320 HP at the crank, 220 HP sounds about right for rwhp!!!
The 6.2L produces 411 HP at the crank, 315-317 rwhp is what the 6.2L gets stock.

Supercharge that beast, then you'll have a big smile.

I actually ended up texting him earlier after posting. 223rwhp and 248 trq when essentially stock (cold air intake and cat-back). With the Procharger it made 341 rwhp and 348 trq. I think it will take a lot more than a tune and full bolt-on’s to get to 300+rwhp.

Forced induction is the easy path for power that actually makes a notable difference. I’ve always had better luck with FI than extreme NA setups.

Thanks for the reply’s I guess it’s the torque but this truck with the mods feels like a beast I’ll post my dyno results when I find a good shop. That Edelbrock sc kit would be the way to go for some healthy rwhp numbers

Just had a thought what elevation are you guys at? I seen a 6.2 raptor at 5,000 fr 270 hp at the wheels. I’m Modesto ca elevation is 100ft. And in summer it’s almost 100 degrees every day with winter temperatures in the 20’s 30’s 40’s when it’s not raining. I raced my brother 18 5.0 10 speed when it was 90° he barley caught me at the very end. An that trucked fast. I know I’m splitting hairs but this truck in the condition and with mods I’ve done. Cold air intake it breaths now. Tunes my own timing 32°2,000-4,000 27°4,000-7,000 global timing plus 10 over stock. 1”7/8 long tube headers no cats Pennzoil full synthetic 3 e85 staytions near me. My 6,080 pound raptor is 400 pounds heavier than a tundra witch is 15.7 in the 1/4 mile… average an the tundras put down 330 wheel hp. My. 5.4 I have to launch in 4wd or I can barley hook I’ve ran 15.7 in 98° weather I’ll hit 15.2 when it’s 30° soon. Like I’m calling it 295wheel hp an 365wheel torque. The 4.6 3v with the same setup make 310 wheel hp With 280 torque. Youtube. Anyway sitting around the house typing incoherently. You probably right. But I think you are at 5,000 feet elevation up there

He was around 1000’ at the time (north-central West Virginia). I didn’t ask weather conditions but he provided the SAE corrected versus uncorrected. Those aren’t perfect but they do normalize for air density in elevation and temperature. It may be off but shouldn’t be grossly off unless there were crazy factors being used.

Uncorrected numbers can vary greatly (much more so in forced induction applications) by temperature difference. I had a 94’ Supra Turbo (BPU mods) that would lay down 365rwhp at 90 degrees and humid versus 410rwhp at 35 degrees and arid. The corrected numbers were within 5-7rwhp from what I recall.
