All,
I thought I would share how I have attempted to prevent the theft of my rear brake lamp housings ($7k). I removed all of the OEM bolts and measured them with a digital caliper and a micrometer. Based on this, I went to Lowes and purchased the brake lamp assemble screws (Safety Torx). They were in the Stainless Steel section in the HardWare area. I took one of my OEM screws with me and compared to what they had on the shelf. The ones that matched came two to a package so I purchased two packages (1 for each side). Next, I got on Amazon and found the button head Safety Torx bolts that I needed along with the Stainless washers for the tailgate panel. It is my understanding that they cannot open your tailgate with the truck locked, so they remove some of the inside panel bolts and bend the panel down and reach in and grab the release rods that allow the tailgate to open.

Hope this helps someone and your very expensive tail lights don't get stolen.
