3rd brake light option? Anzo sucks.

So about 2 years back I replaced my failing 3rd brake light with a smoked unit from Anzo. Figured as they claim to by Socal based they would have some quality. Mistake. Light has completely **** the bed. Paid over $100 for it at the time. Contacted Anzo and they said I should go buy an OEM one or buy a new one from them.

I see piles of different options on Amazon but they all look like garbage. Is there a decent replacement people are using or have experience with?

Really great customer service. I see on their site they brag about "ONE YEAR WARRANTY", like that's exceptional. 1 year is nothing! I think the cheapest Flea Bay crap will likely last a year. I was not impressed by their, "AnzoUSA is proud to be an American brand designed and engineered in Southern California." I'm assuming that means it's made in China. I'll make sure I never buy an Anzo product!

Made the poor assumption that the LEDs would last "forever" but still figured would get more than a couple of years. Is literally everything just garbage now?

If you don't like Anzo's warranty, you'll hate Recon's warranty: 90 days.

If budget allows, I'd check out the GJ Motorsports 3rd brake lights. They're one of my favorite option as they keep the 3 red LED rear lights for running lights and brake lights and also allow you to run 3 Baja Designs S2 lights so you can have rear chase lights. Usually, the middle light gets tied to your cargo lights since those are replaced from the overhead.

You can also add an NMO antenna mount as well.

Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Wow, that's really bad! I would think the cheapest crap out there would last that long, as long as it worked when you hooked it up.

It'll be added to the site soon. But pricing is the same as the Gen 2. Feel free to send me a PM and I can go over the options with you.
