I got a quote today for $288, carrying it to the bottom piece as well. I told the lady, afterwards that they sell the same exact material, 3M Vinyl Scotchprint 1080, for $100 for 50sqft. She said that is impossible because only dealers can sell the product.... I said check their website

So, I am thinking about trying this myself. Any tricks, tools etc.. needed? I can make a lot of mistakes with 50 ft of material.

Hell, $288 is a steal compared to my quote!

I got another quote today for $370. So maybe you are right, $288 not bad, but when I read folks getting it done for $150 - $200 I wonder.

The women was kinda of a bitch as well! One of those, you drive a truck types....

I did the hood on my s2000 for under 100 bucks, and that was with the 3M di-noc carbon fiber. Its pretty easy on a surface such as a hood, just take your time and have someone help you!

I wan to try it myself might go ahead and order the matte black, just head about needing a heat gun and that is testing my comfort level? I was think it would be like applying a protector to my iPhone just on a larger scale....

I forget the website name but you can buy the piece precut for around 200.00 then install yourself if you got that kind of patience and talent. I didn't. I had mine done at a wrap place here in Florida for 225.00

Hoping to go back soon and do the roof line in between the door creases. I think it would complete the look much better than just the hood.

I like the roof line idea. I am just trying to picture the look since I have seen pics, got any. I going to get a quote or two more then if I can get less than $250. I will let it be someone else's problem. And, I have someone to fuss at if there is a problem down the road.

Pics of your?
