I still say call MPT.
Then do a search on here for all the products that your being told about and look for dyno graphs as evidence of the hp gains.

The first question to ask is what all has been done to the truck so far and how do you use it? We've got a ton of different options, but it really comes down to how you intend to use the truck. I could throw out a bunch of options, but how you will use the truck and what level of modification/warranty implication you're comfortable with.

An aftermarket tune will hands-down be your best $/hp you can spend, but you need to be okay with the potential warranty implications. The second best upgrade you can make is to your OEM intercooler. Dyno testing has shown increased performance with just an intercooler upgrade and no tuning. Of course, upgraded tuning makes the most of this as modification as well.

If you want something more under-the-radar, a JB4 module with SPD Turbo Adapters will check the boxes nicely.

The COBB system is a great kit and falls about $800 under your budget, leaving room for other items like turbo adapters and/or downpipes.

Happy to go over options and pricing with you to find a kit that fits your needs and your budget.

What can be done that won't jeopardize an extended warranty? If it has been covered, I would appreciate a link. I'm not on here as much as I should be so I likely missed the thread.

If warranty is a concern, I'd consider passing on a full ECU tune. Of course, tunes can be "uninstalled" however, they can still be detected if someone goes looking for it.

Another option would the Burger JB4 system which is a piggyback setup that adjusts boost, fueling, and timing without actually modifying the OEM ECU calibration.

Other than that unit, your basic bolt-ons are a good option. SPD Turbo Adapters are pretty much identical to the OEM turbo adapters are folks are quite happy with them.

An intercooler upgrade is another good option, however, that is more detectable than your other options.

Happy to go over options with you that fit your needs and your budget.

Let us know if we can help!
