I was looking at the KO3’s for a replacement tire on my TRX, but the only load rating at the time was F in the 35x12.50’s. I ended up going with the General Grabber A/Tx in the Load E rating. I know the TRX is a fatter and heavier bastard than the Raptor, so not exactly apples to apples comparison, but I didn’t notice any change in ride quality over the factory tires. The A/Tx is very quiet, and if you live in an area with snow and ice, they were fantastic this last winter. We had one storm that dropped over 12 inches overnight, and the tires performed fantastically.

Those general grabbers are some heavy suckers! Weighing 80lbs each (for the 37"), whereas the current KO2s are just under 65lbs each at 64.84lbs

I totally missed the 37” part, so yeah, the General Grabber X3’s are heavy. That’s my fault. I was looking at the A/Tx in the 35” that I bought. Sorry, basically I didn’t add any useful information. My bad!

I put the AT4/W on my last Raptor. Only did a couple thousand miles before trading in. I thought they were excellent. Super quiet, handled well, and great looking sidewall.
Were they the 37s with an E load rating?

C has a softer sidewall (and less of a tow rating). A softer sidewall aids in a softer suspension, tires are part of your overall suspension. Truck floats more over bumps both on and offroad.

I am looking at E rated tires for my superduty. Raptor doesn't need that.
I'll add that I tow monthly with OEM C rated 35's. I swapped to a set of takeoff OEM C rated 37's for 2 trips and put my 35's back on. Though I'm well within the weight rating for both tires, the C rated 37's added a squishy, lack of control feeling while towing that I didn't like at all. If I move to 37, it would likely be a D rated tire as well. Did you lose any ride quality with the switch to D?

I will not be a fair comparison. I was on 37s with 3.0 Kings. I didn't notice much of a difference. Truck floated down the highway.

I think D is the sweet spot with Raptor tires either in a 35 or 37. More important is having a three ply sidewall if you use the truck as intended. I have ran the Cooper STT Pro, Goodyear MTR and Yokohama G003 mud tire. They All good tires and over kill for the street. For daily driving without a bunch of weight on the truck hard to beat the C rated KO2 stock tires however. I wonder if they will offer more D range in KO3. It seems all manufacturers just want to make E as a catch all.
