Technically it's a 40 gallon tank, but 10% is required for expansion space and to prevent flooding of the evap system, so it's capacity is rated at 36 gallons

One thing ya got to remember about running your fuel tank so low is the design of the system uses the fuel as a coolant... So running your tank low can cause premature failure of the pump.

Yep, pretty common design nowadays. My Titan does the same thing. Although they say that we have a 28 gallon tank...I've never gotten more than 23.5 in it.
