I’d say neither. My bros 17 had the 315 trail grappler. His 19 has the stock bfg 315. These trucks prefer the stock tires or something close to it size and weight wise. Just my .02 cents.

Why does there seem to be so much confusion on this? It’s not the tread depth but the overall outside diameter of the tire that matters.

The stock 315/70R17 tire measures 34.4 inches and weighs 64.59 lbs. With the stock 17” wheel (31 lbs.) it weighs just shy of 96 lbs.

The Mastercraft Courser MXT tires that I am running measure 34.69 inches and weigh 65 lbs. With the VR 601 20” wheel (28.5 lbs.) it weighs a total of 93.5 lbs.

So I have weight savings and a total of 1/4” more tire compared to stock. No noticeable difference in any handling, no lift needed, etc....

How are you liking the Courser MXTs after some time and miles on them now? How is road noise compared to stock KO2s? Do ok in the rain? Snow?
