Once you experience them, it's really hard to enjoy others. For years, I ran the Focal Flax series, I loved them. For the $$$ it's really hard to find another speaker that puts a smile on your face like those. Not a Raptor, but here is my previous build/toy we built 10 years ago. This is now Utopia M

That is pushing it! I believe your maximum depth is 3.25 inches without modifications. You would need to measure to be sure and you can double stack our adapters if you need more depth, but I would dig into it a little more before you commit.



At the current time, nothing really fits in the factory corner locations besides the Kicker 2.75-inch driver. None of the conventional 3-inch mid-ranges will fit due to depth. Around Feb of next year, we will have a kit that will work in the factory mid-range location, but tweeter will not. This kit will be around $6k.

For us, we are so comfortable tuning our a-pillars (we tune 10 a month on average in these trucks), that we will have to take a hit on performance to catch back up on that location.
But its something we are actively looking for good solutions and right now, only very limited choices.

What about rear fill? How is that tied in?

Depends... Using rear-fill on that amplifier setup will degrade the performance of the entire system. We always want more power on the front mid-bass vs equal power across all speakers. Equal power = turning everything down to match the level of the most inefficient speaker, the front doors. Just leaves a lot of performance on the table. Either add a 2-channel or sacrifice performance up front. That is if you go with a 3-way. You will notice on all of our 3-way setups, we run staggered amplifier power (More to the doors).

If you go with a 2-way, bridge across 4 channels to run to the front door speakers, your 8-channel amp is now a 6-channel.

Thanks, why not build a matching scooter with a fully active 3-way Flax / Mosconi system

Keep in mind that just adding a 3rd speaker isn't that easy. You will need tuning to make it sound right which requires amplified channels for each of the speakers/sub and a DSP.
