Im curious how much horsepower this engine can take without punching a rod through the side of the block. This being my first 3.5 my previous was a 20 f150 5.0 which you couldn't kill and loved to drink ethanol. I'm curious how many ad ons before I start to use up my reliability, it's a 2024 raptor with 2700 miles now I've added the pulsar piggyback tuner CAI ,friday I installed the CV fab intercooler and turbosmart blowout valve which seemed to make a huge difference. As soon as they unlock the pcm it will be tuned and I'd like to change injectors to 1050cc in order to run ethanol as it is readily available where I live in braselton ga.

It looks like from everything I've read ,the weak point is the pistons ,and maybe to high a compression to run a lot of boost ,I think the raptor r as 9 to 1 whereas the 3.5 is 10.5 to 1 and the R pistons are forged aluminum vs alloy aluminum in the 3.5.

Thats not a fair comparison tho....TT V6 vs S/C V8. Thats two entirely different worlds

The circle k at Duncan corners seems to test close to 85 pretty consistently the stuff at racetrac is all over the place and never consistent.
