Maybe take it in is the right answer but thought I'd check first. I see some other posts but theirs don't look like this.

Not sure how to truly check but this appears to be oil coming from the rear shock which isn't usually a good sign. Out of my element with these fox shocks and this shroud that looks to be on there.

I see a little of the same on the other one but not nearly as much as I see on this one. Seems pretty clear it is coming from that shock. Even a little on the very rear of that leaf spring.

I don't see any oil leaking at the top of the shocks so it must be the bottom. Truck doesn't feel like it's riding or taking bumps poorly but it's new to me and my first truck so what do I know.

Is this even a warranted item?

Thanks

Hard to tell if that is the shock leaking or road debris. You need to jack up the truck and not the rear end housing so the shock can extend and then you can see the bottom of the shock. When you go in for service next, you could ask the dealer to check on that for you. I would keep that picture and wipe the shock cover down with degreaser or dish soap and water and then check in another month or so to see if it's building up with oil again or not.

Little off subject but does anyone know of a more budget friendly leaf spring option over deavers and icons? I know you get what you pay for but $1500 + install is more than what I can afford. Truck spends most of the time on pavement with a little trail riding. I'm just sick of everytime I hit a bump at speeds the rear end feels like it's jumping side to side.

Some oil seepage from the shocks is normal. It will appear as residue with dust buildup as your photo shows. If there is actually liquid (drops of oil) leaking from the shock, then it will require replacement.

I'm at 25,000 miles on a 2018 and the left rear shock is leaking enough that its has a fairly large spot on the concrete where I park. Went to a dealer and they have one on order.
