It's that time again! Every once in a while (we try to do things annually) we get involved in helping raise funds for worthy causes. We have done this several times here on FRF for people associated with members of our FRF family. (Links provided below to past fund raising efforts)
This time around, I have gotten involved in what I consider one of the most worthy causes I could ever get involved in. As a Service Connected Disabled Veteran (USMC Medically Discharged in 1994), watching so many veterans commit suicide due to the struggles of dealing with PTSD, I was blown away when I discovered 22Zero. 22Zero is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose basic mission is to promote and raise the funds needed to facilitate nationwide training of qualified medical personnel in what is called the "RTM Protocol" or "Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) Protocol". This new alternative treatment for PTSD has proven to be 90% successful in effectively curing PTSD for good. Which is absolutely amazing and a true Blessing to those that go through the treatment. Read More about the RTM Protocol HERE
Retired Army SFC Dan Jarvis, the founder of 22Zero is a combat wounded veteran and a RTM Protocol success story himself. After experiencing the positive long term results of treatment, he decided to make it his mission in life to get the treatment out there so that all veterans and first responders, or anyone suffering from PTSD for any reason, could get the treatment they so desperately need! I discovered Dan's mission on Facebook by way of my good friend @Nick and after learning more about it, I felt I had to get involved. Read More about the Mission HERE
This leads me to what we are doing. When I run these fund raising events, I offer products from different manufacturers, dealers and forum sponsoring vendors to boost donations. You can click the links for the past fund raising efforts below to see some of the kinds of things that have been provided during these events. Each item put up for raffle will have it's own level of giving for entries and raffle time frame depending on what the source of the raffle item suggests, requires or otherwise. For example, a pair of light cubes might have a $5 minimum donation per entry and run for 2-3 days, while a larger item with a higher overall value might have a $20 minimum donation required per entry and last 5-7 days depending on value and exposure.
How donations for this fund raiser will work. Donations will ONLY be counted when made either through the Facebook fund raising page LINKED HERE, OR Directly through the 22Zero direct donation page LINKED HERE. But you MUST follow the instructions as well. ALL qualifying donation amounts through the Facebook page will be noted by me. To qualify, you make your donation and share the information from the page, the raffle or the fund raising page on your Facebook timeline. If you prefer to make your donation directly to the 22Zero direct donation page linked above, you must make sure that you stipulate with 22Zero in the comments of the donation that this your donation is for this fund raising raffle. When making a direct donation, there is a space provided for adding an additional note to provide to 22Zero, you use that area to make note of the raffle item that the donation qualifies for at the time of the donation along with your forum username and real name (We MUST have a way to get in touch with you to provide prizes to the winners).
How raffle drawings are done. As donations are made, we take note of all donations by either forum username or real name and once it is time to perform the drawings, we do so through Random.org. We make sure and keep all information about the drawings 100% public and accessible for full transparency and accountability.
Please note that ALL proceeds through both donation links above go to 22Zero, Facebook does not charge fees to accept donations for 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. The overall goal of this particular fund raising event is to reach $30K provided to 22Zero. This amount will provide for the training of 25 medical professionals in the RTM Protocol treatment!!!
