Personally I think the different shock tuning is primarily because the bump zones need to be different due to 1” less travel on the 37pp. The thicker front shafts are likely to handle higher lateral loading the 37s create, not due strictly to tire weight, but more due to their increased moment of inertia.It would not seem to me that a 4 pound heavier tire would require the suspension changes.
