2023 New Raptor and Missing Options - Solved

Is the HVAC control worth the time and effort? Does it require Forscan or is it plug and play? I ask because I remember seeing someone here post that they just swapped the other one in and it worked fine.

It was worth it for me because I wanted the heated wheel button and mine didn't have it. It was not plug and play per se, the HVAC controls and the digital readouts worked by just plugging it up, however the heated and cooled seats buttons did not work and I had to load my ASBuilt data into the new module. I also have read that it worked fine for 1 person that swapped his in from his 2021 but he was the only one I have seen that said that.

You need forscan for a new one. If get a used one it would be plug and play.

I bought a used one on Ebay for $300, made sure it exactly matched the part number, made sure it wasn't scratched as some I saw were, and had the dealer install it. They charged one hour labor and they did have to use the computer as the heated/cooled seats and heated wheel were not working after the install.

When they installed it, and they did the flash to make it work, did it remove the temperature from the top of your touchscreen? AKA, did it make it look like a MY21 screen?

Please keep us advised if that turns out to be legit. I've seen several listings at that price range as well, listed as new, and i'm quite tempted. My wife just got a bronco, and she has the digital readouts, and my envy is strong.

It annoyed the hell outta me that the 2023s were missing those two features. But those Digitial readouts look sliiiiiiiick and i think i may have to try to add those to my '22

Boo, I was hoping that could be fixed too. Its the same display, just different firmware.

Does anyone know if you could make it display like a MY21 once you swap out the dials?
