So Ford has an announcement page for the coming 2022 Ford Lightning, but still can't get good info on the "2021 Raptor" ......Noice

And they just announced hp/tq for the bronco, but still no vehicles yet. Plants are shutting down, 2021 is going to be a wash out!

At least wait until we get some information on the Lighting before you start getting conflicted. It very well could be fun to drive, and serviceable for trips to Home Depot, but utter crap for drives out of town, towing, etc.

I can imagine out of town trips being a pain in the ass with 1-2 hour stops every 300 miles or whatever the range is.

Just throw a generator in the box and some jerry cans, you could go forever or until you run out of gas.

You would need a really big generator. Most EVs charge the best on 480V and draw a lot of amps. Try to charge one on 110V and it could take 36 hours to do it.

In seriousness though, you’d imagine at some point we will get so effective at efficiency that maybe a solar bed cover could power an electric truck. That would be pretty dope.
