It the US government pumping trillions of dollars into the market. Inflation is going to get high which means prices go higher. Complaint of single product price is a bit ridiculous as wealth of a single person being helped by low interest rates. If prices stayed down, you would pay a lot more for your mortgage and credit card bills etc.

I also got this it’s a little different. Looks like 37’s you can’t order carbon fiber package with? Maybe it already has it

THIS.

All the complaining about base price increasing, and no one grasps the concept of inflation.

According to usinflationcalculator.com, $55k in 2013 (sticker price of my 802A Gen 1) is the equivalent of $63k today.

Now factor in the technology and quality upgrades between then and now - better shocks, better suspension, higher-quality cabin materials, etc - and suddenly the huge "price increase" starts to fall off considerably.

I too am looking forward to the suspension enhancement... I also think the antimatter would work with the 37 interior...I am going to take that plunge...besides, for me, I only plan to have it until the R comes out as well, (assuming it does and what it is expected to be) so if the blue, gives me the blues...it will only be for a year or so...if I like it...maybe longer...

Besides, it MY COIN...MY TRUCK...if you don't approve... Go...F, well you know what I'm thinking:eek::anitoof:

If the 37/blue recaro package remains for Raptor's in '22, I wouldn't be too surprised if the R comes mandatory with 37s and recaro. I really don't think there are going to be too many options on the R. They've spent alot on development for the V8, they aren't going to make a 35 and 37 option. Besides, they will want to keep the price down overall, and it's easier to do that and still get a healthy profit if you bundle all the 'options' into a standard package.

2021 800A ($65,840 MSRP including destination) now comes standard with these items from the previous 2020 model year:

2020 801A:
• Leather-Trimmed Seats
• Power-Adjustable Pedals
• Power-Sliding rear-window with Privacy Tint and Defrost

2020 802A
• 10-way Power Driver and Passenger Seats with Heat and Ventilation (Power Lumbar Passenger)
• Ambient Lighting (Ice Blue only)
• Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC)
• FordPass® Connect
• LED Box Lighting
• Intelligent Access with Push-button start
• Remote Start System
• B & O Sound System

+ the gen 3 additions for all models (rear suspension improvements, likely HP improvements, 12 inch screen, Sync OTA updates in future, etc).

2020 801A with LED lights and Remote start was $62,240 (the other features above you could not add to an 801A). So really for those features and improvements I listed above were included in the base 2021 800A for 3k.

Y'all can prattle on all you want about inflation and new options justifying the higher price but it's not like my income just magically goes up to keep pace with the increased price of consumer goods. And I don't care about a bunch of leather and tech in a truck. I want a great suspension and a naturally aspirated V8. You can keep the rest of the bells and whistles. There is a point wherein I can't justify the cost of a Raptor over an ordinary F-150 that will accomplish 99.9% of the same tasks I ask of it. When SuperCab Raptors with cloth could be had for $56K, I could justify the cost if I worked at it. We are now fully $10,000 over that price point. I don't daily drive a pickup truck. It is for hauling toys, picking up junk from Lowes and maybe a little off-roading. I have a half dozen other cars that are way better to drive around on a daily basis. There just comes a point where the price gets too high. Ford just found it for this guy.

I ain't mad at 'em. They are pushing the Raptor 'brand' upmarket and in turn created the F-150 Tremor for people like me.

I think some of you guys are making too big a deal about the interior color. That blue will go well with every color besides the dark red.

I disagree, and it's not just the blue, but the orange stitching as well. The reality is that while some people may like that color combination, it's not exactly popular. Quite understandable that folks don't want to look at that combo every day...I certainly would not.

And it's not so much that Ford offers this combination as option, but that they are tying it into unrelated 37s option.
