Sounds normal to me--but if your tires are worn down or whatever that could be your cause too---Im assuming the whining goes up/down with your speed?

Not specially normal to me, in fact almost impossible to answer by recording, bcs it can amplify exterior sound, road , ect... we could think we can hear something like a bad wheel bearing, but perhaps it's absolutly not . Good luck

Thanks for the quick replies. The truck has been solid for the most part up until about a month ago when it started making the whining noise. I popped the hood and had my wife press the gas to try and isolate of the sound was coming from the motor but it did not seem to be the case. The truck was so quiet previously so something is off. Hoping it is just the tires being worn but figured I would check with you all.
