The issue affects a very small build window; less than one month.

The issue was isolated and suspect stock was purged. Any truck built after 11/20 has the revised bearing.

My luck. My truck has a build date of 10/31 whereas my dads was built the first few days of October and doesn't have the whistle.

Picked up my 20 today. 12/19 build. No noises. Had two 2019's and no issues on either.

If you are shopping 20, check that build date and avoid 11/19 builds it looks like.

20 is solid and very quiet.

I have a build date of 10/10/19 with no whistle. Does that mean I'm good? Is this only affecting the month of November or what?

Good question. That's a question for @FordTechOne. Based upon his post make sure truck was made after 11/20/19 (can tell build date on sticker).

I have the whistle sound at low rpms, just noticed it, mine has 249 miles. Mine is a 2020, build date 12/11/19. My whistle noise can faintly be heard at lower rpm when going easy on the acceleration, goes away after about 35 mph. I hear it at 15-35 mph with the windows down. Now that I’m aware of this, I’ll pay attention to freeway and other driving conditions. Is this just an Annoying noise issue, or is there a more serious problem now or down the road as we rack up miles?
