Anybody have issue with it saying not a supported USB drive? I formatted the usb drive in the exFAT format requested and no go.

Sometimes the USB itself matters too, some seem finicky with the ford system from what I read through on the F150Forum where i found the files/process.

I did the most recent update which it said would take 1+ hrs. They wanted you to run the vehicle the entire time, that is ridiculous. I plugged it into the charger but it still shut down the ignition after about 40 minutes. I retried once and it said it was starting the update again, but after 40 mins it turned off the ignition again.

Now it wont try to download at all. Does that mean it worked? How do I check if the latest update was installed? Sync was already version 3.3, this was just a maps update.

Does the 40 minutes come from the setting for the radio timeout that I can change thru FORSCAN?

By the way I used: exFAT format, and it worked the 1st time.

The update process is a pain in the ass....why don’t they just do it over the air?

Ford doesn’t want to push it out. Incremental update the ‘20s came with, and they won’t let us officially have it. I hope the OTA updates do get pushed for the ‘21s as Ford is advertising. And they show they can do it as others can. But why implement it in the Gen2 and not start using it. I’m sure dealers love and hate it.

Cyanlabs has a program automatically handled the downloading and memory card that worked great for me.

I just downloaded the Sync 3.4 to update over the 3.3 on my 2019 Raptor.

Update took around 25 minutes and then got a black screen. I did a factory reset and saw that it had updated to the 3.4. Unfortunately, Sirius XM functionality disappeared (ID disappeared).

Called the Sirius XM number and got a reset code, then all was good again.

Good thing my Shelby GT350R already is updated to sync 3.4.
