2020 Sync 3 Update

Updated to 3.4 on my '17, worked perfectly, looks great!

I saw a ref in the 2nd link (not the f150 forum) comments that someone couldn’t get a FORSCAN connection after upgrading to 3.4. Anyone tried this?

And, anyone tried to go to 3.4 with FORSCAN mods in place ?

I imagine this isn't an issue, but for those with 17's, are you still able to change the color of ambient lighting?

Yes, you are. Ambient lighting button is right there in the settings on my '17 with Sync 3.4

I haven’t completely read through this whole thread but I have a 2018 with sync 3 . Can I download the files and it will go to 3.4 ? Also is it easier with a Mac or windows ?

Has anyone remedied or created any iPod issues after the new update via direct usb connection? My ‘18 has had indexing and browsing issues since I’ve had it. Updated sync 3.0 to fords latest build (for 3.0) and that honestly made it worse. I wouldn’t mind trying to update to 3.4 if the issues are resolved.

I did it on a Mac (used "unarchiver"), it was pretty easy and straight forward. I hope it doesn't break an upgrade path from Ford down the road. Everything works fine and like others have reported it seems snappier.

Just updated my 2017 to Version 3.4 and Build 19274_PRODUCT with no problems.

I must have downloaded a UK update. Re-do time...

It turns out that I had my region set to UK in Forscan way back when. That lets me (or passenger) access the nav while truck is in motion. Other than the UK spellings it doesn’t seem to affect anything else so I will leave it on UK.
