Hey guys so I have 2020 raptor with the 802a package, I was leaving Home Depot and I started my truck and the idle was off. The truck was acting like it had an after market cam. It would idle up to 2500rpm and back down to 500 rpm and back up then down. I shut it off and restarted it and it seems to be ok. Anyone ever experience this? It’s going I’m Friday to have the faulty front camera replaced. Any help is appreciated

Sounds like the truck just want to race someone.

You happen to have a Pedal Commander installed? They can do some funky things.

Best of luck.

Could it be bad gas?
You know I religiously use BP or speedway (used to be Hess) and I always put premium. But a brand new station opened down the block (Shell) and I thought why not check it out. After that I didn’t really drive the truck but yesterday when I was running errands I noticed it seems like there’s a lag and the idle is off. I’ll burn this shit out of my tank and refuel with where I normally go and see if that helps.

All I can say is I 100% put 93. Now the question remains is the Shell by me giving 93 octane at the pump or something lower.

Or, if it's a new station, they didn't commission or install the tank correctly, maybe some water in it or another contaminant?

I wonder if forscan can detect knock or detonation?

Anyway, hope it's nothing serious.

It’s going in for service tomorrow to have the front camera replaced, I wonder if they have an octane tester at the shop. Worth it to ask i suppose.

I actually don't know if low Octane would cause your issue, maybe they can take a sample out for you, or ask them if they can siphon out the suspect fuel.

Good luck man.
