Long time Ford guy here, from the Republic of Bye' God Texas. Almost all my trucks have been Fords, but I've owned all the big 3 throughout my life at some point. My recent trucks before this include: 2018 F-150 CC 4x4 Platinum (The Slipper, cause she was Ruby Red), 2016 F-150 CC 4x4 Platinum 6.5' bed (The Magnetic Monster, cause she was gray with a 6" lift and 35" Pro Comp MT2s), 2015 F-250 CC 4x4 Super Duty (The Big White Beast 2.0), 2011 F-250 CC 4x4 Super Duty (The Big White Beast), 2007 F-150 CC 4x4 King Ranch.

Yeah I know I should quit buying trucks every couple years, but I haven't been upside down in a vehicle in over 25 years so it doesn't bother me at all. This is kind of my vice, I don't drink or smoke and I'm not out chasing women so I can spend my money on what I want.

Welcome aboard Gunner! Whoa that’s a lot of trucks. You must know your Fords by now. How does the Raptor rate next to the rest?

Good looking beast. Spend on what you enjoy and be happy.

Thanks 223, yeah I could walk on the lot and outtalk most Ford truck salesman without being wrong about options or abilities. I absolutely hate knowing more than a product salesperson, if you don't know your product get the heck out of here!!

I would rate the Raptor right up there at the top of the list for capability. I would say the 2018 Platinum was by far the most comfortable, the 2016 was the loudest (stupid Pro Comp tires, the MT2 look cool and that's all they’re good for), the 2016 Super Duty was a 7,000 pound dragster (the second that candle lit on the turbo it was GONE!!!), the 2007 King Ranch was my 1st foray into a luxury truck (all others before that were utility at best).

Well said and well described. You have got a taste of a lot. I also tend to study a vehicle that I intend to buy really well. So much to the point, if a salesman can clue me in on some small features I wasn’t aware of, then I’m shocked and they earned there money. Well sorta lol

Enjoy it
