That dealer requires that you do the financing through them and that you buy the extended warranty that costs around $4,000.
Most states laws allow extended warranties to be cancelled and be refundable. It’s not much of a hook.

Most. Is Texas one of those states? Either way don't advertise it like its a great deal cause it really isn't. My opinion.
I googled it and yes, Texas requires a full refund if the warranty is cancelled within the first 31 days. After that, it’s a pro-rated refund. Once a request is made, refund is due within 46 days; after that, the provider owes the buyer an additional 10% of the amount outstanding for each month the refund isn’t paid.

If the dealer really wants to wrap the deal around a $4,000 extended warranty, I’d say the dealer is the sucker. I’d take the deal and cancel the warranty and then buy it elsewhere, like from Flood Ford, if you really want the warranty. You also save on sales tax on the warranty when buying online (not sure if that’s a known fact).

My dealer said to me that he bought down the rate and the bank offered the extended warranty *4 years 48K miles. Do you think I need to cal him out on this and see if my payment would have been cheaper without that?
