Jumping in on this older thread. I experienced the "Blue Fog" on my 2019 Raptor yesterday for the first time. My mileage is currently 39,500.
I had towed a relatively light load on a small trailer for about 20 miles. Parked and shut the truck off, unhooked the trailer, pulled forward and shut the truck off. Approximately 30 minutes later I started the truck and pulled out of my driveway with no indication of smoke but I wasn't really looking for any. As soon as I turned out of my driveway and accelerated slowly there was cloud of blue smoke noticeable in my mirror on the drivers side however it was pretty windy yesterday and it could have been coming from either side of the exhaust or both. The blue smoke cloud stopped within about 100 to 200 yards but when it happened it was definitely a smoke screen.

Generally I am parked on level ground or maybe a bit nose high. Yesterday before this happened I was parked nose low but not on a severe hill.

This has not happened before and even though I have parked the truck for both short and overnight duration including parking nose down in the same spot it has not happened again.

My first thought was a turbo issue but until it happens regularly I guess I will just have to keep an eye on it. I have not notice any excessive oil consumption.

Any additional information is welcomed.

Have you verified that your oil is not overfilled? Also, what is the build date of your truck?

Oil level is not high. 4000 miles since last oil change and no additional oil has been added or required. I do not know the build date but it is a very early date as the truck was purchased in Early

The early build valve cover issue that caused oil consumption on some trucks tended to occur under high load/heavy throttle. Since you just finished towing, excessive oil may have built up in the PVC system and been ingested by the engine on the next start.

Not being argumentative on my end, I am just filling in the blanks.

I am really not sure exactly what the valve cover issue is but I will research it.

I have not had any oil consumption issues at all with this truck nor did I have oil consumptions with my 2017 or my 2014 for that matter.

My towing load yesterday was on a 5’ x 8’ aluminum trailer and my load was less than 1,000 lbs. I regularly tow a 20’ tilt trailer with my Ford Lightning Race truck on it, probably around 5,200 lbs plus my gear in the back of the truck. This combination is towed from MA to FL, GA, IL, PA, IL again, KY and GA again. This creates much more stress than the towing I did yesterday and I haven’t experienced the issue at any point prior to yesterday.

I will research the valve cover issue to see if it somehow applies.

Definitely strange. I was just throwing it out there as a possibility, but since you tow frequently it sounds less likely especially since you don’t have any oil consumption concerns.
