You don't have proof of the shocks being crap, you have a one review saying that they don't feel as 'cushy'. The thing about live valve shocks is you can improve body control while letting them loose for the high frequency stuff... and they won't feel cushy even though they're filtering unwanted stuff better.
Also, some don't want 'cushy'.
IMO, jury is still out, I need to get a couple hours in the left seat or filter thorough several more reviews (preferably first hand, on here) before the data will meet my confidence criteria. And then... even if the verdict comes back that they suck on road, you will have taught me nothing of value. There are a lot of ways they can be good or a lot of ways they can be bad, doesn't take Einstein to figure it out. So far... they don't sound bad, though a Lincoln mode would be nice.
WRT 5k$ off, sure if you want a bloatmobile which is still priced higher than mine MSRP'd. I could buy what I wanted, or I could get a 'better' deal. I bought what I wanted and paid a little under MSRP for it; there is not one currently in the US with what I want at 5k$ off MSRP, and probably there won't be.
