I can't believe how people can't wrap their heads around how these shocks work. Imagine an aftermarket set of Fox or Icons (the ones with the adjustment knobs). These are better than stock because unlike stock shocks which have to be balanced for 50/50 onroad/offroad, the aftermarket ones you can tweak to be more geared to whoops, jumps, or street driving.

These still aren't perfect tho. You only get one selection, and even offroad you must strike a balance. Or, if you forget to set them (as has been done at many a Raptor Run) you can bottom out severely on your first jump!

The Fox Live is a brilliant solution to all this. Take the above example, but now imagine a computer turning that knob for you 200x a second for optimal response. That's what these shocks do. They've been getting rave reviews from mountain bike and RZR owners, and I expect the improvement in shock response will be nearly as big as going from G1 -> G2 shocks.

Soon I'll get to ride with in a 19 around Texplex and compare it directly against my 17. I'll also go with another friend who has Fox Factories on his 18, and a Gen 1 friend with Icons*. I suspect the Fox Live will be close - if not superior to - the Fox Factories.

*Actually ridden with him before - they aren't much better than how my stock truck rides. But he's also got quite a bit more weight.

Soon I'll get to ride with in a 19 around the same course I'll be driving my truck around. I'll also go with another friend who has Fox Factories on his 18, and a Gen 1 friend with Icons*. I'll be able to compare well when I do.

I’ve had a 13 - in a 17 now - and have a 19 coming in in December - I’ll post my thoughts.

Anyone who says Fox LiveValve is a gimmic is plain ignorant / uneducated on the topic.
I will, laugh at you later, and I am an educated pharmacist.
You are a liar!
