That shock is not same shock in ford. And the vehicle in context is an atv off Road vehicle.
Fox is not used in rzr

Not meaning to get into a measuring contest or anything, but the live valve technology that the 2019’s have is most certainly, in concept at least, made by fox and in the rzr; where it functions and performs great in my opinion, but even better with a little Shock Therapy (rzr joke... got to own one to get it)

Thanks for the info, good. At least I f'd didn't know fox made rzr ones too.
You deserve the credit for mentioning it.
but I am still right not same shock. The rzr shocks are def far superior to the 19 raptor shock. Even ford won't taunt the capabilities of its fox shocks with same details as the rzr fox shock.

But selling new ford raptor at msrp is a good deal? :33::3638400157_e7de35b0:ban:
It’s not bad paying MSRP early in the model year when you have all year to enjoy it. Buying an ‘18 now with 57 days to go in the year not so much. In 57 days all the 18s will be a year old and depreciate $5-7k, so a deal today of 5 to 7k off MSRP is marginal at best and equates to same in depreciation loss.

At least that’s what several dealers around my area are offering me on my 18 for a 19, And I really want the new shocks because they are worth it to me!

I respect that!
That's what it should be buying it because you just want it.
I don't like folks trying to justifying it as a great invention and ground breaking improvement over 18 models.
Those are the folks that I am straightening out here in this forum.

And whom exactly have you straightened out? Because by my score, you're the one getting called out for poor assertions based on absolutely nothing other than emotions.

Those who follow these threads will notice that almost everyone commenting on the shocks expects that they will be an improvement over the shocks in the '17s/'18s. How much of an improvement is largely anecdotal at this point, but the consensus is that if the shocks perform the way they're billed, they will certainly improve ride quality.

But by all means, please continue to straighten us out. Your hypocrisy is incredibly entertaining.

Damn this thread blew up! Undoubtedly there are inherent differences in the suspension and my reference to the RZR was purely that Fox has developed a COTS solution for a semi-active damper that is performing pretty well and from an absorbed power perspective in terms of vertical acceleration, there is a ride quality improvement as well as reduced heave, pitch and roll dynamics. Obviously physics still applies but having a damper that is sensing the displ. and vel. of the shock shaft and electronically adjusting the valving to compensate on the fly is going to perform than a passive shock with a floating valve or shim stack that is purely deflecting based on velocity. In addition the Fox system knows when approaching or reaching droop (in the air) and can exponentially ramp up compression dampening on stroke ingestion on landing providing somewhat of a progressive, jounce shock like landing. Again it's also tapped into vehicle CAN bus so it is pulling roll/pitch/yaw and lat/long/vert data from the vehicle IMU, steering angle, throttle and brake to use those input values as well. Looking forward to seeing the execution my 2019 when it arrives but just wanted to say it is not smoke and mirrors.
