Guys here is my perspective.
I work at a vehicle development center and proving ground primarily catering to the DoD. We've been testing semi-active and active suspension for quite a bit of time and with the recent fielding by the USMC and SOCOM of the MRZR, we've done a lot of work with them as well. This also has included the latest MRZR with the Fox Live Valve which is essentially the same system the Raptor is getting. It taps into the CAN bus and pulls IMU data, steering angle data, throttle, etc. so that on road it can increase roll stiffness, during longitudinal decel it can increase compression dampening to reduce dive and off-road on high frequency low amplitude inputs it can soften up and soak up the washboard. Since they also measure displacement and velocity of the damper they can progressively increase damping force on jounce for things like whoops/g-outs. I am an engineer and have had pretty good experiences with the system. Good enough that I ordered a 2019 yesterday : ).
