Like I said. You're giving people's comment too much weight. GCATX can talk to anyone of us however he pleases because we're not friends and will never meet. The sooner you stop caring what people say or think, the sooner you'll enjoy the internet. GCATX has a Raptor so he's superior to me on the FRF. Give me one month then we'll be equal...lol
Well consider me trump like. I will not back down from little people!

Guys here is my perspective.
I work at a vehicle development center and proving ground primarily catering to the DoD. We've been testing semi-active and active suspension for quite a bit of time and with the recent fielding by the USMC and SOCOM of the MRZR, we've done a lot of work with them as well. This also has included the latest MRZR with the Fox Live Valve which is essentially the same system the Raptor is getting. It taps into the CAN bus and pulls IMU data, steering angle data, throttle, etc. so that on road it can increase roll stiffness, during longitudinal decel it can increase compression dampening to reduce dive and off-road on high frequency low amplitude inputs it can soften up and soak up the washboard. Since they also measure displacement and velocity of the damper they can progressively increase damping force on jounce for things like whoops/g-outs. I am an engineer and have had pretty good experiences with the system. Good enough that I ordered a 2019 yesterday : ).

Wow - an opinion based on actual experience. Thank you. I am getting tired of all of the opinions that the shocks are a gimmick or not worth it. They may be proven to be that, but no one will know until they are in the market and used. It’s funny how people come up with and opinion and stance without actually trying it. Draw the line in the sand after you experience it.

It’s fine for someone to say that they wanted to save some cash on an 18. Not so much if they say the shocks aren’t worth the higher price tag. Impossible to know at this point.

Great to see experience shared here. Thank you for the quick writeup!

:33: We will see about that in a few weeks after reviews!
Being engineer means nothing to me. I might as well be an engineer too. You never know.
From all the likes you got it is a good indication that people are hoping for the best. And that's good but knowing fords history that change won't be significant! Don't want to ruin it for everyone, but I will express what I feel:biggrin:

Don't worry the truth will finally come out. No need for the fighting
How do you know I don't work as an engineer too? With aerial and ground vehicles?
And if he really is working for DoD, he needs to keep his mouth closed because he could lose his security clearance running his mouth like that!
He knows better! Most of you won't understand

Look, it's been established that no one respects or even cares about your opinions. You're honestly hoping everyone in here who is buying a '19 will have a bad experience so you can somehow feel vindicated for a poorly thought out stance. So not only are you unintelligent, but you're also an *******.

Please do everyone a favor and stop posting.

Lol, the main point is that it is ridiculous to take such a strong stance against them without knowing anything or having tried it. I said that they may be a gimmick in my post. You continue draw a line in the sand based on nothing. I am hopeful they improve the ride, but I am not ignorant enough take a hard stance before I try it.12a18dc6b3cc7a998a6b65b61b8ca786.jpg
