2018 Ruby Red Orders

Hello FRF,

I've had a Gen2 Raptor on order for just about a year now. My dealer only got a handful of '17's and I imagine the same will follow for '18's. I'll be their 2nd allocation for a 2018 but was told Ruby Red's will be a late availability.

I have waited this long to get what I want, and will continue to wait for the color that I want. I noticed on Raptor Finder that there have not been any '18 Ruby Red's even scheduled.

How many of you have an 18 Ruby Red on order and know of any information on what your dealers have told you?

Ruby Red is not an option for 2018. They replaced it with Race Red.

It looks like you won't get what color you wanted because your dealer sold you a truck that they didn't have an allocation for. Sorry. But it happens.

I would check with them to confirm they actually have an allocation this time. Hopefully they didn't sell yours off last year to a higher bidder. That happened also.

If by no confirmation you mean it being listed in the order guide and Ford Reps saying it will be around November before Ruby gets pulled/produced, then sure there has been no confirmation.

Along with the fact that dealers could even place the order, I'd say there is enough confirmation.

But let's keep using the configurator as proof...

Good luck - you will be waiting a long time for this color... as in not going to happen. You might be better off finding a 2014 ruby red.

While the configuration has been known to be inaccurate, it seems odd that 1 month in, they haven't added Ruby Red. It's not like this is a difficult fix since it was available last year and shows up on other trim levels. The order guide shows it available but the appearance guide (which was released after the order guide) does not. As far as "Ford Reps" saying it would be available, these are the same customer service reps that said the Ford Performance tune would be out by April. Putting in an order doesn't guarantee anything either. It's just a program. Once there is a one with a build date and a window sticker, then there will be confirmation. Until then, I am extremely skeptical that there will be Ruby Red Raptor for 2018.

There was someone that said they saw one being built during their factory tour, but they also said they seems a Raptor with no applique and no tailgate stamp. That has already been proven to be inaccurate. Also if Ruby Red is a late availability, how could one be seen at the plant. Finally, why would a color that is not new, is available currently on all other F150s be late availability only on the Raptor? That makes no sense.
