2018 Raptor Sudden Engine Knock

Thanks everyone, appreciate the assist. Towing back tomorrow, I'll circle back with what they say.

Mine did the same. 2018. Had to take it to the dealer twice for the same issue. “Replaced” the cam phasers twice and did some other stuff when they opened up the engine. All repaired under warranty and the TSB’s. After two tries and 3 months in a 4 month period at the dealer it drives like new again!!!

Rod bearing would be a lot faster knock. I say accessory belt system. Timing chain , phaser. Can you take belt off and restart see if it's still there?

It's at the dealer that did the phaser work. They're pretty swamped I think, so it might be a bit until I hear something.

Ugh! Dealer says clogged oil lines to the turbo, no compression in two of the cylinders, metal in the engine, so it needs to be replaced!

Whoa! Hopefully they have you back underway expeditiously and repaired properly the first time.
