I'm going to call my dealer tomorrow and ask them to get cozy with the Ford rep and see what they can pull out of their ass.

I hate being that guy that bugs the dealer but I don't care. I haven't called them once since I placed the deposit and I never even got a DORA after I asked for it. FP chat did confirm that could "see" my order though.

First world problems I guess - the only thing I have to drive is a BMW. Sucks really bad when you sell your truck and you're used to having one. Gotta borrow my dads ride to take my dumb trash out every week.

Right now I'm in your boat too, they can see the order but that is all for now. My sales man is awesome. Easily the best sales experience at a dealer ever. He just emails me out of the blue with updates. I'm not in a hurry I know the raptors are lengthy to get so I can wait but him and the dealer seem to be doing what they can to get me in the truck asap. Honestly if it gets scheduled next month I'd be surprised and stoked. It's great to have a dealer that gives a damn. To bad the dealers in Phoenix don't give a crap.

I've been bugging my sales guy almost weekly. I text him, he response with a phone call. He's expecting to be able to provide me with a VIN the Tuesday following labor day. I don't know if I believe that or not but it is what it is. At the end of each phone call he ends it with "Don't worry, you'll get your Raptor, just be patient" This will be the 3rd vehicle I've purchased from him.

Sometimes having 'family' connections is great but sometimes it's a awkward.

My niece's husband is the used car manager at a Dodge dealership but the dealer group also has a Ford dealer. He deals with the Ford side folks all the time. When I told him I wanted a Raptor he made some calls and got the Ford dealership to agree to sell me an '18 at MSRP. Cool.

The Ford sales guy is great. Instead of a brand new order he re-works an existing Lead Foot order they have with a 9/28 build date to meet my spec and sends me the Ford build sheet with everything changed on it. So I asked him to write it up and I'll get him a deposit. He says since I'm Kevin's kin (deep Texas) I don't need to worry about it. That's nice. Ok, send me the agreement and I'll sign it. He says they can't do that until they get the VIN and specific vehicle details.

Well I hate not having everything in writing. My last dealer agreed to sell me an 18 @ Msrp but when ordering opened up and I came in he said that the original manager was gone and the new guy wants $10K over.

Now I don't want to be a pest because I don't want it to reflect on my family member.

Have a little trust. I doubt they will screw over a family member.

On a side note, my dealer told me the MSRP could increase based on when the allocation was pulled, so I agreed and asked them to state and sign off on the DORA that it would be sold at MSRP per window sticker at delivery on the DORA and I signed off as well.

Now if they want to F me over they still can but it was a little piece of mind.

Mine told me that the price was fixed the moment the order went in. Didn't matter how long it took or what the price was when it was actually built.

Maybe that's just the dealer's policy, but the way he said it, it sounded like a Ford thing.

My dealer just called me with an ETA range of 9/4 - 9/10. That's only 2-3 weeks after its build date - it took 5 weeks last time so that's pretty good if true.
