Update on the Dealer screw-up. Called them this morning since I didn't hear back. Sales manager had no idea what I was talking about, GM was "not in". Sales manager acted like it was no big deal, if I didn't accept delivery he would have no trouble selling it and I could go to the back of the line if I wanted it as I ORDERED IT! Said it could be a while since there are at least five ahead of me now. Ford Service gave me the run-around telling me to contact my dealer if I had an issue with the dealer! HUH? I'm f-d! Not like I was subtle on the Dealer Order. Glad I kept copies of everything.

That ******* sucks! Were you dealing with a salesman through the order process?

Yes. I guess shame on me for that, but I thought it was a no-brainer. DON'T DELETE SOMETHING that's already there! He literally had to DO NOTHING and would not have screwed up.

Nah man, not your fault in the least. Although, you do make me want to see an updated DORA from my dealer (removed the spray-in bed liner). What are you going to do at this point?

Gonna start making calls first thing Monday morning to see if Ford will rectify. And look for a back-up dealer, if I have to wait, I'm not gonna give them my business. If they can't handle this, what would they do if I had a real problem with the truck?

After you get your stuff sorted and if you're not going with the same dealer make sure to give FRF a heads up on the dealer. I hope the best for you.

Your situation is exactly why I've refrained from modifying anything on my order even though I'm not completely sold on Lead Foot. Not to sound too negative, but I don't foresee your dealer being able to change the order without incurring some soft of delay.

Thank you all for the support. I unfortunately agree it's probably too late. Problem is I was given the impression it was worked out BEFORE the order was placed. I never made any changes. Thank God I have the emails, documents and text messages to prove it.

I had the same thing happen to me earlier this year - only it was the color that was wrong on the sticker. There was no changing mine which is why I just waited for an 18. Maybe the tailgates though they can swap out - really if the dealer messed it up they should just order a new tailgate for you and swap them out when it comes in. I'd be surprised if they did that though.

Problem is they know that whatever shows up on the lot will sell, if not to you then the next guy, so you don't really have much you can hold over them, but I do wish you luck.
