Registering it won't be hard. Only impact not having the CA emissions sticker is that it's not eligible for 7 year / 70k mile CA emissions warranty.

Dont be mislead. This was on mine bought in Florida. You wont have a problem

I live in CA and ordered/bought my truck in TX. I had CA emissions on the order, and the CA registration process was simple. I did not have to weigh the truck. All I needed was to get the vin verified and a smog check done. VIN verification was about $50 for a mobile guy to come to my house and do the paperwork. Smog check places are everywhere. Not difficult at all in my case, BUT my truck was ordered with CA emissions. Not sure how things change without that.
