The 18 will have a little softer ride on road vs the 19. The 19 will sit a little taller than the 18. I went with a 19 as I wanted the newer shocks, dash display, and I liked the change to the seat material vs the 17/18.

I would pick the one with the best service records out of the 2 you are looking at.

Just based on not having Live Valve shocks, I would go with the 2018.
Maintenance is best though.

In the market for a raptor. Was getting a Gen 1 roush but seems the deal is about to fall through.

That being said I can get a 2017/18 with 80-90k miles or a 2019 with 90k miles for the same price.

So the question being - is a higher milage 19 better than getting the same milage 18?

(avoiding 17s because of the plastic oil pan etc. ). So would be either getting an 18 or there are a few 19s in the same price range just with higher miles.

Or do I get another roush gen 1?

Nice Truck, have the same year and package. Noticed carbon fiber steering wheel. If I may. Where did you get it and do you like the quality?

Id go for the newest model year possible, with 18’s your dealing with the plastic oil pan in early models and the cam phasers. I believe The 19’s resolved those issues, plus updated fox shock.

2019. Or remain patient for a few more months and see if you can find another 2019 with lower miles within the same budget. Easier said then done, as I remember the feeling of almost having my Raptor I couldn't wait another day!

I went through that exact same process. Started looking at the gen ones, 17-18 and 19+. I considered price, mileage and type of shocks. I ended up buying a 19, super cab with 40k miles for 59. I think it’s the most ready out of the box for being used and under warranty.
