Same keyfob as the 2017 Super Duty I previously owned.
I bought a 2018 Raptor - but its the base model - so it has the same crappy fob as a 2015 F-150 with the flip-out key. At least it has remote start.
As to locking with the fob in the truck, you *cannot* do it *unless* you use the keypad on the door. Otherwise, your doors will immediately unlock after you shut them. The nice thing is, you can now leave the engine running with the fob in your pocket, hop out and shut the door, and then press lock on the fob with it still in your pocket...or use the little rectangle on the door handle. Truck locked, engine still running. Walk back up, touch the back of the door, voila...door opens.
Only annoying thing is the horn will honk after you get out and shut the door with the engine running...but this can be easily disabled with FORScan.
Only way you'll be able to get this fob is if you have a remote-release tailgate and push button start. Not sure if you can get those features on 801A trucks.
