2018 Gen 2 got another 'Cam Phaser' notice

last time I drop of my car to the dealership for back foam replacement. since the vehicle is already there, I asked them clear all recall notice.
1) 19N06 --- DOOR LATCH FREEZING CONCERNS ( PERFORMED FSA 19N06. INSTALLED FRONT AND REAR DOOR SEALING KITS PER FSA. FSA COMPLETE );
2) 20N03B --- UNINTENDED TAILGATE OPENING ( PERFORMED FSA 20N03. INSTALLED TAILGATE JUMPER HARNESS AND INSTALLED TAILGATE SWITCH. FSA COMPLETE );
3) 21B10B --- POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE REPROGRAM FOR CAM PHASER RATTLE ( PERFORMED FSA 21B10. REPROGRAMMED PCM AND ROAD TEST VEHICLE, PASS. FSA COMPLETE );
4) 20M04 --- POWER DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURE ( CUSTOMER DOES NOT HAVE A DOOR ACTUATOR CONCERN, NO WORK DONE );

but now, my FordPass app show me another notice: FSA#21N03 --- CAM PHASER.

does that mean the newly re-program job will not work with old cam phaser ? It tells "road tested and pass".

I have made a new appointment on next Monday. Too many time appointment with dealer recently.

cold start vedio, but actually it's in the morning under 77F. anybody hear any weird?

That FSA only applies to vehicles that have an existing cam phaser issue that is not resolved by 21B10. Since yours doesn’t exhibit an issue you can disregard 21N03.

Is there a way to get 21N02 to go away on the FordPass app if it’s not needed? Every time I log in, I see the exclamation point inside a triangle with the word recall underneath it. Just ignore it?

Also, when I had 21B10 done, the service history shows warranty work done for heating and air conditioning. Seems odd.

from what I understood when talking to a tech recently, 21B10 and similar updates also require the other control units to be updated at the same time. I'm assuming so they communicate congruently.

sounds good to me.

Had update. Now my truck runs like schitt. Idle fumbles when I come to complete stop and there is a shudder at low rpms while driving. Wtf. So frustrating.

This truck was perfect for a long time now I almost want to get rid of it. Is this how the dealers are getting new stock???!!! Kidding. Kinda.

If you have a shudder issue after 21B10 then you need to have 21N08 completed to resolve it.

Update. Ford refuses to update to 21N08. Since it is related to the transmission problem previously slamming into D and that the shudder is transmission related. So that says that the cam phaser update 21B10 is transmission related. The dealer had reset the TCM transmission calibration in hopes that would correct the hard shift into Drive as well. Nope. So now they want to replace valve bodies in the transmission. But will not correct the crappy cam phaser update until they open up the transmission. So far Ford is making things worse.... Why do I see impending doom creeping in. This truck was perfect until Ford started monkeying with updates and now refusing to undo their mess. Now wanting to open up a transmission! When obviously this is a software issue! Wtf

If you only experienced the shudder after 21B10, the issue is NOT transmission related. 21B10 has nothing to do with the transmission. If a shudder occurs after 21B10, it’s the result of an engine shudder. The software in 21N08 will correct that. The owner letter is below. You may want to find a new dealer, they sound incompetent.
