Received my new 2017 Raptor mid January. Has been kept on the streets only, never seen dirt/off-road.

May 5th - Went to install fog lights and noticed axle grease all over the drivers side frame of the truck. The snap ring clamp that holds the CV boot was not there on the side closest to the trans. Took it to Ford for warranty, they replaced the entire axle.

Aug 31 - Brought the truck into the dealership for an oil change. When i got home, was reading the multi inspection report and it stated "left front axle boot is throwing grease". I was shocked they gave me the truck back without telling me anything about this. Immediately called to make another warranty appointment to get this fixed. However this time, the snap ring clamps are in tact.

Truck is currently at the dealership for the warranty work and figure out why this is happening.

Dam...that sucks...made a mess...hopefully the dealer takes the time to clean it when they're done fixing it.

Did they clean the grease from the first time? Lol
If it leaked the second time, the tech didn't do something right. First time likely a defective clamp

1st time it happened, the dealer ordered a brand new axle for the drivers side and cleaned the grease off. There was no sign of grease on the frame when i picked up the truck.

Since the entire axle was the replaced the first time, now it has happened again on the same side. It is concerning there is something else effecting this.

boot leak

We noticed the same problem when the truck was on the lift to install brake upgrade. Dealer (Covert Ford Austin TX) would not cover under warranty as said there was a small hole in the rubber boot that "impossible as a defect"--I had to pierce it while driving. Total BS as truck was nearly new and never off-road. I escalated to Ford and they would do nothing. Total OOP cost of $560.
