Then again I know a great ford tech that comes to the runs and just LOVES to install PS pumps in the UP why laying in the snow. So maybe I should just wait till I get to Snoball..

I do, i Ido. If it doesn't get sold to someone else before I blow another one.
A blown pump can put a damper on the trip. Having blown one during Havoc first day and they can be a bit difficult to track down on short notice. I have learned to keep one on hand . I went to Snoball last year and sold the pump to someone in Echo or Yeti first day out they had it on by Sat nite ,and then blew mine Sunday morning. I'd do it all over again. (excuses to use diff extraction technics)

We did not make it 15 Minutes into Day 1 at this past snoball before we had a pump go out in Yeti group. Which is why I ordered the Howe, now just wish the upgraded IWE kit Haynes is working on would have been ready. Then I would be all set. I might buy a set of the deletes and just go that route but I really would like the upgraded IWE system instead.

Ok shipping update shows my Kenwood VHF radio arriving on friday so need, I guess I better order the roof mount NMO connector and the 3dB antenna. Anyone have an idea of how long the coax needs to be for mounting the roof NMO and running it to behind the rear seats where the unit will be mounted? Want to get it as short a possible with out going to short. The shorter the length the less signal loss and any extra cable you can not coil as that will basically kill your signal so you have to creatively take up the slack.

Where are you mounting yours? I mounted mine under the steering wheel kick panel area and ordered a 12' cable. It was pretty close to perfect....

I have the remote head unit Kenwood TK790H unit. So the VHF unit will be on the back wall behind the rear seats. Then the Remote head unit I am going to put up by the sunglass holder, just need to get the PCI bracket and then a custom plate made to go with it that can hold a few switches as well.

The center dash speaker I am going to wire into the kenwood with a DPDT switch so I can use it for either music or the radio.

12' will be way to long.. I want it as short as possible with out me having to go get the necessary crimper and connector to do my own.
