What is the highway ride like, does it make a decent highway cruiser? Are the rear differentials open and then just manually locking, so no limited slip? How does it manage wheel spin with traction control?

here, on frf
traction control worked great. i am in the bay area and it was pouring rain a few days ago. our main highway to san jose was flooded. i felt it start to hydroplane but the tc kicked in and the little light flashed on the dash. all i did was keep the wheel straight and the truck did everything else. then when you turn the tc off and hit puddles....... its a lot more fun...

Haven't received mine yet, however did test drive one extensively. IMO it drives like a large sedan on the highway (obviously you are sitting much higher). Others might chime in......

I have a 2007.5 K2500 diesel. I was hoping for a better ride, but I didn't know if the off road shocks would be too soft.

I drove a F250 diesel and wifey never wanted to ride with me.

I had my truck in the shop for minor door latch issue and she VOLUNTEERED to go get my 2013 Raptor.... As someone pointed it, it rides like a sporty large sedan (best way of describing it)

This should be the furthest concern in your mind!! Now mpg on the other hand :hmm:

I took delivery of my 2013 on dec 1st and drove her 365 miles home. The highway ride is excellent. It def does NOT drive like truck on 35 inch wheels.

The rear diff is open and it electronic locks. I don't think any modern day diff (front or rear) locks manually any more.

Yes, wheel spin is managed by traction control.

Ride cant't be beat by any other truck, it glides down the road, you get on the highway and merge and look down and your already at 85 mph. On wet roads, I have to try to get the wheels to spin, then the TC hits and hooks it back up, I still can't get a break tourque out of it yet on dry pavement, I'm only at 3200 miles and the brakes grab the back wheels too well to power past them. I want to do burn-out but I can't get there just stock, Guess I need a tuner kit. I have a SCREW and I think the longer wheel base make a big difference.

Rides like a dream on the highway. You look at the Raptor and say no way but it will really surprise you.

The ride is like you are floating on air. You ever see a Great White on one of those shows, glide thu the water effortlessly. Thats how I would describe it.

Problem is you just wanna JAM your foot on that pedal and get that "Raptor Rush."

Also the noise level is so min compared to other trucks I have owned. You know you are in something of quality.
