I am another newbie to the forum. Just got my first Raptor about 3 weeks ago. I will join you in April as well! I am in Tower Lakes not far from Vernon Hills.

Looks like we're going to have a great turnout. Including some of the new guys, we're up to 16. This will be a great time to initiate some of the new guys into the Raptor family.

Per Huck, we'll try some ice breakers out to welcome them all. Games like "Who's in my mouth?" and "Just the Tip" are fan favorites with this group. Not with me personally. I'm one of those "Straight edge" guys. No booze, womanizing or ****** innuendos with me.

Looking forward to a great time. Hopefully this pizza joint is as good as I've heard. Just to make sure we're all on the same page:

New guys should bring either a pen/paper to take notes on the new stuff you're going to buy, or just be more efficient and bring a laptop and order it right there. That's what I did with my HID upgrade thanks to Tim!

See you all soon.

The previous meets were actually up in Vernon hills, not to far from there.

We had quite a night out in Woodstock on friday. Was actually more of a raptor boating adventure than OR'ing, but was good to test to water tight integrity of these trucks;) USS Blue Titanic should have some good pro footage, haha Also credit goes to captain M1M for a 45* incline water recovery of sed sinking vessel.

I made the mistake of stating the "well, we all survived" comment about 2 minutes too early as we departed, and blew out a 3mo old Mickey Thompson. Finally got use of my bed mounted spare tho, and learned i need a hi-lift.

Good time for sure and good thing for the recovery gear and cool people to help one another. Didn't think I was going to pull him out. I sure it was the 4.88s that helped the most. I'm ready to go again when it's daylight so we can see.

Yea those 488s got put to work! A return visit during the day should be in the books, nightime with the horror movie graveyard mist/fog and bearing sea iceburg conditions weren't ideal.

I found Tim's gloryhole on google earth, he wasn't going anywhere but back unless he had the wisconsin dells duck conversion mod ;)
